Tesla will feature prominently at next month’s Africa Solar + Energy Storage Congress & Expo in Nairobi the capital of Kenya. The event will take place at the LAICO Regency Hotel 15kms from the city’s International Airport.
The list of participants has been published on the event website and it indicates that Tesla will be represented by a Business Development Manager Evan Rice who will be speaking at the congress.
Tesla, Inc. is a major American automaker, energy storage company, and solar panel manufacturer based in Palo Alto, California
A notice on the event website says, “Africa is among the strongest solar resources in the world, it also brings tremendous opportunities to the solar and energy storage industry.”
The congress is expected to attract Governments, Utilities, Project developers, Investors, Energy storage products manufacturers, Consulting firms, as well as other related sectors are invited to together discuss opportunities, challenges and solutions for solar and energy storage development in African market, especially Kenya, South Africa, Morocco,Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda.
Among the speakers expected to grace the event are the US state department’s Clean Energy Advisor Molly Ward, Tesla’s Business Development Manager Even Rice and Kamal Gupta the Chairman of Kenya Renewable Energy Association.
